What is the waitlist in Slotlify?

The waitlist is a feature for events with a limited number of participants. As soon as the maximum number of participants has been reached, additional customers can no longer book directly. Instead, they can add themselves to the waitlist.

If a spot becomes available later, for example because of a cancellation, the first person on the waitlist is automatically notified by email. This person then gets the opportunity to book the newly available spot.

The waitlist is an advanced feature and is not included in all Slotlify plans. Whether you can use this feature depends on your current plan.

How the waitlist works

Full

An event reaches the maximum number of participants. From this point on, direct booking is no longer possible because all available spots have already been taken. Instead of ending the booking option completely, Slotlify can show your customers the option to join the waitlist.

Join

Interested customers can enter their details and join the waitlist. This keeps their interest active, even if no spot is currently available. For your customers, this is much more convenient than having to check the page manually again and again.

Cancellation

When an existing booking is cancelled, a spot in the event becomes available again. Slotlify detects that the maximum number of participants is no longer reached. This allows the next step to be triggered automatically.

Notification

The first person on the waitlist automatically receives an email informing them that a spot is available again. This lets them quickly know that they now have the opportunity to book the newly available spot. You do not need to monitor this process manually or contact individual customers yourself.
