Create a New Course
Create a course in Slotlify
In Slotlify, you can create not only individual events, but also complete courses. A course consists of several sessions that belong together and are booked as one offer.
This is especially useful if you offer structured programs with multiple fixed sessions.
Examples:
- Yoga course with 10 sessions
- Dance course over 8 weeks
- Beginner tennis course with 6 sessions
- Workshop series with several units
- Prevention or rehabilitation course with a fixed structure
The difference from a single event is: when a customer books a course, they do not book just one session. They book the complete course with all related sessions.
How to open course creation
To create a new course, go to your dashboard and open:
Courses > + Add new
The form “Create New Course” will open. Here you define which service is offered as a course, when the course starts, and according to which schedule the individual sessions take place.
Important before creating a course
Before you create a course, a suitable service must already exist.
This service must be defined as a course. Only services that were created as courses appear later in the Service field during course creation.
This is important because Slotlify uses this service to know that the offer is not a single event, but an offer with several sessions.
If you cannot find the correct service in the selection, first check whether the service has already been created and whether it is really defined as a course.
The most important fields
Course name
In the Course name field, enter the name of the course.
Examples:
- Beginner Yoga Course
- Dance Course Level 1
- Beginner Tennis Course
- Morning Pilates Course
- Workshop Series: Stress Management
The name should clearly describe what the course is about. Your customers should immediately understand what they are booking.
A clear course name is also helpful if you offer several courses in parallel.
Example:
- Beginner Yoga Course – Monday Evening
- Beginner Yoga Course – Wednesday Morning
- Adult Tennis Course – Group A
Select a service
In the Service field, select the matching service for this course.
Only services that were previously defined as courses appear in this list. Normal one-time services are not shown here.
This prevents confusion and ensures that the course is correctly connected with the right number of sessions, price, and other settings.
Example:
You previously created the service “Yoga Course 10 Sessions”. When creating the course, you select exactly this service. Slotlify then uses the number of sessions stored there to plan the course correctly.
Plan sessions
In the Sessions section, you define the start date and times for the course.
Start date
The Start date is the day on which the course begins.
Example:
A yoga course should start on 04/05/2026. You select this date as the start date.
Start time
In the Start time field, define when the sessions begin.
Example:
6:00 PM
End time
In the End time field, define when each session ends.
Example:
If the session starts at 6:00 PM and lasts 60 minutes, set the end time to 7:00 PM.
Make sure that the start and end times match the actual duration of your sessions.
Add another session
With “+ Add session”, you can add additional session times.
This is useful if a course does not always take place at the same time or if you want to represent several fixed course times.
Example:
A course takes place on Mondays at 6:00 PM and Thursdays at 7:00 PM. In this case, you can add both sessions and plan them accordingly.
Define the schedule
In the Schedule section, you define the pattern according to which the course sessions repeat.
This means: you decide on which days or in which rhythm the individual course units take place.
Slotlify automatically calculates the course timeline from this information.
Select the recurrence type
You can choose between different recurrence types.
Daily
Select Daily if the sessions should take place every day.
This can be useful for intensive courses, holiday programs, or compact training series.
Example:
An intensive course takes place every day from Monday to Friday at 10:00 AM.
Weekly
Select Weekly if the sessions should take place on specific weekdays.
You can define on which days the course repeats.
Example:
A dance course takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 PM.
This option is especially suitable for regular courses in sports clubs, yoga studios, dance schools, educational institutions, or training centers.
Monthly
Select Monthly if the sessions should take place every month on a specific date and at a specific time.
Example:
A workshop takes place on the 15th of every month at 5:00 PM.
This option is suitable for monthly course formats, seminar series, or regular group offers.
Course end date
You do not need to set the end date manually.
Slotlify calculates the end date automatically based on:
- the start date
- the selected schedule
- the planned sessions
- the number of sessions stored in the service
This means: if you create a course with 10 sessions and the course takes place once per week, Slotlify automatically calculates when the tenth session takes place and when the course ends.
This helps avoid calculation errors and means you do not have to determine the course end manually.
Create several courses with the same service
You can also create several courses with the same service.
This is useful if you want to offer the same course at different times or in several groups.
Examples:
- Beginner Yoga Course in the Morning
- Beginner Yoga Course in the Evening
- Tennis Course Group A
- Tennis Course Group B
- Next course start after the current course ends
For example, you can already create a new course in advance that starts after the current course has ended.
Or you can offer the same course in parallel at different times, for example in the morning and in the evening.
Send a reminder to customers
In the “Send reminder to customers” field, you can define whether customers should receive an automatic reminder before the sessions.
This helps your customers not to forget their course dates and reduces short-notice absences.
If you do not want to send a reminder, leave the setting at Never.
Create the course
Once all required fields are filled in, click:
Create course
The course will then be saved. Slotlify creates the course based on your information and automatically calculates the sessions and the course end.
Your customers can then book the course through your public booking catalog, provided all required settings are configured correctly.
Practical example
You want to create a yoga course with 10 sessions that takes place every Monday at 6:00 PM.
Proceed as follows:
- Open Courses > + Add new.
- Enter Beginner Yoga Course Monday Evening as the course name.
- Select the matching service, for example Yoga Course 10 Sessions.
- Set the start date to the first course day.
- Set the start time to 6:00 PM.
- Set the end time to 7:00 PM.
- Select Weekly in the schedule.
- Select Monday as the course day.
- Slotlify automatically calculates the end date based on the 10 sessions.
- Click Create course.
Your course is now created and can be booked by your customers.
Important notes
First create the matching service and define it as a course. Otherwise, it will not appear in the service selection during course creation.
Also check the number of sessions in the service. This number is important because Slotlify uses it to calculate how long the course runs.
Make sure that the start date, start time, and end time are set correctly. These details determine when the individual course units take place.
If you offer several courses in parallel, use clear course names. This makes it easier to distinguish your courses in the dashboard and helps your customers understand which course they are booking.
Summary
With courses, you can plan and offer bookable programs with several sessions in Slotlify. You select a service defined as a course, set the start date and schedule, and Slotlify automatically calculates the course end.
This allows you to organize fixed course formats, training series, workshops, or teaching offers and provide them to your customers as complete bookable offers.
